Duo exhibition

Relaxation so good that the ‘krak’&#38;nbsp;under your feet suddenly sounds&#38;nbsp;melodious. The overwhelming&#38;nbsp;silence? Strangely calming.&#38;nbsp;And that night’s sleep that feels&#38;nbsp;eternal? Absolute peace. This&#38;nbsp;very green expo offers you the&#38;nbsp;serenity of the forest, capturing&#38;nbsp;its activities and onomatopoeia&#38;nbsp;in a way only nature can—no tent&#38;nbsp;or bug spray required.This duo exhibition is together with illustrator Maxim de Gilder, on display at Man Met Bril Koffie (Rotterdam) for the full months of January and February.

Brand identity&#38;nbsp;

A brave brand for the gutsy neighbourhood of Shipdock Amsterdam. While working at&#38;nbsp;The Phoney Club we designed this identity that embraces the fundamental characteristics of the location, by drawing inspiration from its industrial maritime history.The logo is flexible and can be used in various configurations. This makes the identity dynamic and adds a energetic touch to the designs. The letters are bold and graphic, with an industrial character.

How not to fall in love with Het Schieblock (area in Rotterdam) after watching this film by Joep van Weelden. Really loved making the title for such a nice project, especially since it's also my work home. The letters are based on the facade with its many windows, which create a perfect grid of rectangular shapes.

In response to the demolition of Dolf Henkes' mural, an entire day was dedicated to this artist. The morning commenced with a symposium at Arminius, followed by an afternoon exhibition at Verhalenhuis Belvedere in the Depot Boijmans Van Beuningen. For this special occasion, I had the privilege of designing the visual identity, with the icing on the cake being a publication that was offered to all visitors.
Translating the intricate details of this event into an identity was an enjoyable puzzle. The dual-color division delineates the morning and afternoon planning. This color scheme reflected in the publication to as a way of enhancing the different chapter division.

	Illustrator Maxim de Gilder and I collaborated in making this tee for the collaboration collection from Everpress. They asked to design something for the theme ‘connection’.In this design we showed a nostalgic way of making contact. We created a storyline, in which the can-phone rings on the front of the shirt and where the phone is being answered on the back. This way, connection gets separate from the digital interpretation and takes you back to the fun moments how we made connection as kids.

Book design for Anouk van Klaveren

	God-shaped holes, Magic Bullet placebo pills and priests in chalk white art spaces: in this layered piece of auto-fiction Anouk van Klaveren analyzes the mysterious conditions under which objects acquire symbolic meaning.
In collaboration we designed this playfull book with holes, cut-outs and switching paper materials. This ended up in 25 hand-made copies. During a one-night exhibition, this little piece of art has been revealed.

	Clarify asked me to make an artwork for an entrance installation at the&#38;nbsp;Athora offices. I was linked to the theme: seek simplicity.

“I have taken on one of Athora's core values - seek simplicity - as a literal assignment. In other words: looking for simplicity.
At first glance, this work appears to be a minimalist image. But behind this first impression lies customization: such as looking for balance in the form, doing color research and those who look closely at the work will see that the work is hand-painted. Because the design consists of few elements, details take on more meaning. Seek simplicity does not mean a superficial simplification for me, but creating space for focus.”

	LingoSpotlight exhibition, kunstuileen Rotterdam
My serie Lingo was on the wall of the kunstuileen Rotterdam Spotlight exhibition.&#38;nbsp;
These paintings were a way of playing with the functional borders of letter shapes. I tempt to read shapes, now I made shapes out of letters.
